AEF’s 2019-2020 Mentorship Program

April 27, 2020

Washington, D.C. – The Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund (AEF) would like to thank all of the mentors and mentees for making the 2019-2020 Mentorship Program a success. AEF continues to be inspired by the number of mentors that dedicate time towards mentorship each year and thanks all mentors for their commitment.

AEF would also like to thank the mentees for their participation. In response to feedback from mentees, AEF hosted an ice cream social to provide an informal networking opportunity. The event received positive feedback from both mentees and mentors alike, and AEF plans to continue this event and others like it in the upcoming years.

“The mentors and mentees this year were truly outstanding. Their participation really embodied the spirit of AEF’s mission—supporting the Asian Pacific American legal community in the DC area. Indeed, when I hear about the direct impact of AEF’s Mentorship Program, including a law student securing a summer position through her mentorship, it truly makes it all worthwhile,” said Huy Le, AEF Director.

Each year, AEF hosts a year-end happy hour to celebrate the end of the academic mentorship year. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, AEF will be unable to continue with the event this year. AEF will resume its mentorship programming in the next academic year in accordance to public health guidance.
