Annica Mae Mattus | Communications Director
Annica is a Litigation Associate Attorney at Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC. Previously, she clerked for the Honorable Brian F. Holeman and the Honorable Jennifer M. Anderson at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. While in law school, Annica Mae was the Managing Editor for the National Security Law Brief and represented human trafficking and family court clients through the Gender Justice Clinic (formerly the Women and the Law Clinic). Annica Mae earned her JD from the American University Washington College of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

Cathie Chen
Cathie is an FDA Regulatory associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP. Cathie assists FDA- and USDA-regulated companies at all levels of the supply chain navigate complex state, federal, and global regulations and achieve their business goals, with a focus on food and beverage, packaging, and food technology matters, among other areas. While in law school, Cathie served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jonathan Biran at the Supreme Court of Maryland and the Honorable Jason Park of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Cathie earned her JD from The George Washington Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.

Haroon Anwar
Haroon is an experienced litigator and an Assistant Director at the United States Department of Justice, Civil Division, where he defends the United States in high stakes, mass tort and toxic tort litigation. Prior to his current position, he spent nearly a decade at an AmLaw 100 firm representing defendants in high stakes, mass tort and products liability litigation. Haroon obtained his B.A. in Economics & History, J.D., and M.S in Accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington. He is President of the DC Chapter of the IU Alumni Association and of the IU Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Association. He is also a member of APABA-DC and SABA-DC.
