Christine Baltazar | GMU Law '26
Christine Baltazar is a 3L at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School. She is the President of GMU Law's APALSA, Executive Editor of George Mason Law Review, and a member of Moot Court Board. She also is the Law School Representative for the Filipino American Lawyers Association of D.C. Christine is interested in securities law and government investigations, previously interned at the SEC and EEOC, and was a summer associate at Eversheds Sutherland. Prior to law school, Christine concentrated in Political Science at Brown University and later worked as an investigator and policy staffer for the House Financial Services Committee.
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Christine is passionate about uplifting, advocating for, and fostering connections within the AAPI community. When not studying in the library, you can find her playing with her two cats, Sushi and Sashimi, listening to the latest Taylor Swift album on repeat, or karaoke-ing with her friends.

Hannah Xiong | Richmond ‘26
Hannah is a 3L at Richmond Law, and the Vice President of Richmond APALSA 2025-26. Born and raised in Chengdu, China, Hannah is proud of her background as an international student and sensitive to issues on diversity in legal practices. Chengdu is also the hometown for pandas! Like pandas who serve as a bridge for international communication and interaction, Hannah is passionate about cross-cultural communication. When she is not studying law, you can find Hannah jogging, hiking, or visiting art museums. Hannah is a huge fan of Italian Renaissance art, especially the artworks from Florence and Siena.

Garin Kim | CUA Law '27
Garin is a 2L at The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She is in the Securities Law Program and serves as the Vice President of APALSA. She previously interned at the Office of General Counsel at CUA, working on legal issues within higher education, and is a current intern in the Office of General Counsel at SIFMA, a securities trade association.
Garin was born in South Korea and grew up in Queens, NY. She attended New York University, where she studied public policy and history, and before law school, worked in People Operations at a startup marketing agency in NYC. When she is not in the law library, Garin enjoys going to pilates, playing tennis, and finding new cafes and study spots around D.C.

Gene Kim | GULC '27
Gene is a 2L at Georgetown Law and Internal Vice President for Georgetown APALSA 2025-26. As a double Hoya, she considers both Ohio and DC home. Before law school, Gene studied Theology with a concentration in medical ethics and East Asian traditions. Now, she is interested in regulatory and compliance work, particularly in the healthcare sector. She lives with her cat and could talk about Korean food and her trip to New Zealand forever.

Ada Li | GWU '27
Ada is a 2L at George Washington University Law School and is the Director of Community Relations at GW APALSA. This past summer, she participated in AEF’s Judicial Internship Program and interned with Judge Higashi at the DC Superior Court, which she continued into the fall semester. Before law school, Ada attended New York University, where she double majored in Public Policy and History. In her free time, she likes to watch old movies and explore D.C.’s food scene.

Winni Zheng | GWU '28
Winni is a 1L at George Washington University Law School, where she is interested in corporate transactional law and currently serves as a 1L rep for APALSA. Raised in China and South Carolina, she graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Economics before working as a financial services consultant in NYC. She is also passionate about social impact and hopes to use her legal education to support initiatives that empower women and children through education and access to opportunity. In her free time, she enjoys reading, making matcha, trying new restaurants, going on walks, and traveling.
Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, Thu earned her bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. At Hopkins, she was the sound designer and Technical Director of Witness Theatre. In her free time, she enjoys reading and finding more neighborhood coffee shops. After law school, Thu hopes to become an effect advocate and attorney while pursuing a career that gives back to the communities that have supported her.

Jean Qian | GULC '28
Jean is a 1L at Georgetown Law, where she is involved with APALSA, volunteers with The Veterans Consortium (TVC) Women's Clinic, and serves as a Student Ambassador. Prior to law school, Jean attended Emory University, where she was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate with a degree in Political Science. During the time that Atlanta was her home, she interned at several organizations that honed her interests in law and policy, including The Carter Center. As the child of immigrant parents and a Miami native, Jean is particularly interested in global applications and interactions of the law and preserving minority rights.
